Votatec PIR Motion Sensor Switch – Occupancy & Vacancy Modes, 180° Detection, Adjustable Time, Light & Sensitivity, 120V
Votatec PIR Motion Sensor Switch
Improve convenience and reduce unnecessary energy use with the Votatec BAG-001 Motion Sensor Switch. Its passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects movement across a wide 180-degree field of view and automatically controls connected indoor lighting.
The switch supports occupancy, vacancy and manual operating modes. Adjustable sensitivity, ambient-light level and time delay allow the sensor to be configured for bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages, hallways, offices, storage rooms and other indoor spaces.
Important: This model requires a neutral wire and is designed for single-pole circuits. It is an ON/OFF motion sensor switch and does not provide dimming control.
Key Features
- 180° PIR motion detection: Wide field of view provides reliable motion detection when installed with an unobstructed view of the room
- Occupancy mode: Automatically turns the light on when motion is detected and turns it off after the selected delay
- Vacancy mode: Light is turned on manually and switches off automatically after the room becomes vacant
- Manual control: Built-in push button allows the connected light to be turned on or off manually
- Adjustable time delay: Set the automatic shut-off period from approximately 5 seconds to 10 minutes
- Adjustable sensitivity: Change the motion-detection sensitivity to suit the room size and application
- Adjustable ambient-light level: Helps prevent automatic activation when sufficient natural or surrounding light is available
- Fresnel sensor lens: Segmented lens is designed to improve PIR detection sensitivity and coverage
- LED status indicator: Provides a visual indication of sensor operation
- Single-pole installation: Designed to control a lighting load from one wall-switch location
- Standard in-wall design: Compatible with most standard North American switch boxes and wall plates
- cUL Listed: Evaluated for applicable Canadian and U.S. safety requirements
Operating Modes
Occupancy Mode – Auto ON / Auto OFF
The connected light turns on automatically when motion is detected, subject to the selected ambient-light setting. The light turns off after the selected delay when no further motion is detected.
Vacancy Mode – Manual ON / Auto OFF
Press the button to turn the light on manually. The sensor automatically turns it off after the area becomes vacant and the selected delay expires.
Manual Control
Use the front push button for direct ON/OFF control when required.
Three Adjustable Controls
- SENS: Adjusts the motion-detection sensitivity
- LUX: Adjusts the ambient-light threshold for automatic operation
- TIME: Adjusts the shut-off delay from approximately 5 seconds to 10 minutes
Typical Applications
- Bathrooms and powder rooms
- Laundry and utility rooms
- Garages and workshops
- Hallways and entrances
- Storage rooms
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Basements
- Other dry indoor spaces
