GFCI Protection and USB Charging in One Device
Unlike a standard USB receptacle, this model includes built-in ground-fault circuit interrupter protection. It monitors the electrical current and can quickly interrupt power when a ground fault is detected.
The integrated USB-A and USB-C ports make it possible to charge compatible devices while keeping the AC receptacle available for another appliance or electrical device.
Important Installation Information
The receptacle requires line, neutral and ground connections and must be installed in a suitable electrical box. Correct LINE and LOAD wiring is essential for proper GFCI operation and downstream protection.
Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable Canadian electrical codes. Always use the TEST button after installation and test the GFCI periodically according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note: The USB-C port uses standard 5V USB charging. USB Power Delivery, Quick Charge and laptop charging capability are not specified. Charging speed depends on the connected device and charging cable.
