Push-Button Controls

  • Power button: Turns the connected lights on or off.
  • Up button: Increases the brightness level.
  • Down button: Reduces the brightness level.
  • Luminance indicator: Displays the approximate brightness setting.
  • Status indicator: Helps identify the operating status of the dimmer.
  • Air-gap switch: Completely disconnects power to the load for servicing.

Adjustable Dimming Range

The minimum and maximum brightness levels can be adjusted to match the connected lamps or fixtures. Proper adjustment can help eliminate visible flickering, dead travel and unstable operation at very low brightness levels.

Use only lamps and fixtures identified as dimmable. Actual dimming performance depends on the lamp, driver, fixture, number of connected lights and total load.

Single-Pole and 3-Way Applications

For a single-pole installation, the dimmer controls the lighting from one wall location. For a typical 3-way installation, the dimmer is installed at one location and a compatible standard 3-way switch is installed at the other location.

Do not install two standard dimmers on the same 3-way circuit unless the lighting control system is specifically designed for multi-location dimming.

Important Load Information

Add together the actual input wattage of every connected lamp or fixture. Do not use the incandescent-equivalent wattage shown on LED bulb packaging when calculating the load.

The total connected load must remain within the rating specified for the applicable lighting type.

Installation Notice

Turn off power at the circuit breaker and verify that the circuit is de-energized before installation. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes.

Confirm the line, load, traveller and ground conductors before wiring. Carefully position all wires inside the electrical box and secure the dimmer using the provided mounting screws.
